
Volunteer Maintenance Person

This rewarding volunteer role and would suit any applicants that wish to spend their spare giving back to the local community; enjoy the outdoors and are handy with a hammer and nails.
Due to the extensive facilities at the Shelter, this position can vary in the type of work required. Jobs can include anything from repairing animals kennels, putting up shelves, weeding, planting and general tidying. We require a volunteer one day per week with a minimum commitment of 4 - 8 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. We are also happy for anyone with specific skills (i.e. Carpenter) to be on call for odd jobs as they come up. Full orientation and shelter training is provided.
Skills required – Licence (some driving to pick up equipment may be required); handyperson or maintenance experience.
