Daily & Weekly Animal Transfers
This rewarding volunteer role involves collecting animals from the RSPCA Shelters and transferring them to other shelters and local vet surgeries. A dedicated animal transfer vehicle is provided and interested volunteers will need to be experienced in towing a trailer. The role would suit males and females in all age brackets.
A weekly commitment of at least one morning or afternoon shift for a minimum of three months is required. The morning shift is 8.00am - 12.00 noon and the afternoon shift is 1.00pm - 4.00pm. Full orientation and training is provided.
Skills required – Current open driver’s licence - sound driving ability and ability to cope in traffic Good people and animal handling skills Some basic knowledge and the ability to learn about animal behaviour is essential.

Volunteer characteristics required – This role requires the volunteer to have initiative and common sense as they will be responsible for the safe transportation of animals. A courteous and considerate driver whom represents the RSPCA in a positive manner (whilst driving high profile vehicles that clearly display the RSPCA logo) It also involves interaction with outside agencies which are vital contacts for the RSPCA.
