This rewarding volunteer role would suit any applicants that love animals, people wishing to work with animals, and anyone looking for a worthwhile way to spend their spare time.
The position involves bathing dogs for the general public as part of a RSPCA Qld fundraising initiative; you will be trained in hydrobath and basic animal handling techniques. The position is available on Sundays from 8am - 2pm. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. Full orientation and training is provided.
Skills required – Some knowledge of animal grooming, experience with animal handling, the ability to work independently, the ability to stand for long periods, good customer service skills.
